All people in the United States, regardless of immigration status, have certain rights and protections under the U.S. Constitution. The Red Cards below give examples of how people can exercise these rights when encountering immigration enforcement.
If ICE comes to your door, you do not have to open the door. You do not have to answer questions. You have the right to remain silent and the right to an attorney.

To print at home, use heavy weight paper, or card stock. Cut out the cards along the dotted lines. If you’re unable to print on both sides, you can simply fold on the center line to make a 2-sided card.

About the Red Cards
These cards are produced and freely distributed by the Immigrant Legal Resource Center (ILRC), a national nonprofit and leading authority on immigration law training and community resources. They are widely used by immigration practitioners, advocates, and community organizations across the United States.
The Red Cards do not provide individualized legal advice. For questions about your specific situation, please contact our office or call (213) 685-1890 to schedule a consultation.
